We start with natural rubber latex, harvested without ammonia or the carcinogenic nitrosamines that standard condoms rely on. Same stretch and strength you expect, minus the toxic baggage.
Into that rubber we blend alginate, a natural polymer pulled from seaweed. It forms its own soft network woven right through the rubber.

The rubber network gives you strength and stretch. The alginate network opens up hydrophilic pathways through it, the reason our material feels different against skin and plays nicer with your body.
Once it's tossed, bacteria and fungi feed on the alginate first. That opens channels through the rubber and builds up the microbial force to start breaking the latex down too. Full breakdown in about a year, instead of never.

Ten billion condoms are chucked into the environment every year, and until now not a single one biodegraded. That’s a lot of eternal waste sitting in landfills, oceans and sewage plants for something that lasted...hours;)
Ours break down within a year. Read how we did it — without compromising a millimetre of the safety you rely on.
